Als ich das hier gerade gesehen habe, hat sich ein großes Grinsen in meinem Gesicht breit gemacht und mein Lost-Herz hat höher geschlagen!

Es ist zwar von ABC lizensiert, was jedoch nichts bedeutet. Darlton machen nur ein Vorwort, mehr steht da nicht!
Hast Recht, aber ich denke, es ist solch ein Buch, wie wir uns alle nach Abschluss von Lost wünschen würden!
Mit Aufarbeitung von dem ganzen Lost-Universum, evtl auch mit Einbringen der Storys der ARGs und ähnlichem!
Wo könnte man denn rausbekommen, ob "wir Deutsche" da auch was erwarten können oder ob wir auf dem Import zurgreifen müssen?

Ich weiß nicht...Ich denke, erstmal muss ein Verleger sich dafür interessieren oder eher gesagt den Profit sehen.^^
Vielleicht läuft das auch über Fox oder Kabel1 wenn man Glück hat

NE, wollte letztens wieder Kontakt mit ihm aufnehmen, er hatte da aber viel um die Ohren. :/
Ich sprech ihn aber diese Woche an. :)
Angesichts des schnellen Scheiterns des deutschen Lost-Magazins und der Quoten auf Kabel 1 sehe ich da eher schwarz für eine deutsche Veröffentlichung.
Sofern nicht gerade die Absätze bei iTunes und Videoload phänomenal umwerfend sind, besteht in Deutschland für so etwas schlicht kein Markt.
Kann mich aber selbstverständlich auch irren. Generauers wissen wir frühestens, wenn das Buch auf Deutsch angekündigt wird.
Naja, da auch die Geheimnisse aus S6 drin enthalten seien werden wird das wohl vor Sommer 2011 nichts.
Für mich ist das Buch aber auf jeden Fall Pflicht. Am Cover könnte man aber noch arbeiten.
Ich finde das Cover eigentlich ganz cool. Klassischer Season 1 Stil, nur halt mit allen Maincast-Charakteren aus allen 6 Staffeln. Nur Ilana und Walt fehlen, aber die opfere ich gerne für Rose und Bernard (und Vincent!). :D
Nur Jacob würde ich mir noch wünschen (sein Gegenspieler ist ja durch Lockes eher ungewöhnliches Rückenposing auf dem Bild angedeutet).
Also das Buch ist auch im deutschen Amazon-Shop erhähltlich!
Aber - wer hätte es gedacht - natürlich nur die englische Ausgabe!

Im US-Shop kostet das Ding 27 USD, was umgerechnet ca. 21 € wären!
Ich glaub, ich werde jetz einfach mal vorbestellen, damit ich es pünktlich in den Händen halten kann!
Laut amazon.de Erscheinungsdatum 16.08.2010, Sprache englisch und kann für 33,60 Euro vorbestellt werden :)
Ist vorbestellt. Aber 404 Seiten ist schade... das hätte man sicher noch etwas füllen können, um auf 415, 416 oder eine andere Lost-Zahlen-Kombination zu kommen. ;)

Warum eine deutsche Enzyklopädie kaufen, wenn wir die Serie alle auf englisch gesehen haben (und es wahrscheinlich auch mit den DVDs machen)?
Ich für meinen Teil will in dem Buch die gleiche Terminologie, die ich aus der Serie kenne und mich nicht so kurz nach dem Ende plötzlich auf die deutsche Version umstellen müssen. ;)
Auf ne deutsche Ausgabe würde ich nicht extra warten!
Denke, dass braucht noch seine Zeit, falls sowas überhaupt kommen sollte! Das Lost-Magazin ist schon gefloppt, warum sollte dann also noch Kohle in ein Buch investiert werden! Aber man weis ja nie...

Es gibt mal wieder Neuigkeiten, diesmal von der ComicCon!
They were awesome, answered several questions and confirmed that the epilogue will be a part of the encyclopedia but that because they wanted to make sure everything was included that the release date of the book was being pushed back a few weeks.
During the panel they confirmed that anything in the book is canon and said that details of Walt would be covered if it is a part of the epilogue. They confirmed the Missing Pieces Mobisodes as canon and once again confirms that the actual first scene on the island for our Losties is not Jack's Eye opening, but when Christian tells Vincent to go get Jack.
The first entry in the book is Aaron and the last is Zodiac and that the book is 400 pages long!

Herrje....kaufen oder nicht kaufen? ich bin so unentschlossennnnn.
Einerseits natürlich "kaufen" ,ich meine es ist LOOOST, andererseits hab ich bisschen Angst das es vollkommner Mumpitz is und nur zur Geldmachereri dient, keinerlei wirklich neuer Infos drin sind usw.
Vielleicht warte ich auf die ersten Rezensionen.

lol. ja, schon klar aber für die Info was Walt so treibt leg ich mir kein Buch zu. Ich will DIESE und aber auch andere Hintergrund Infos haben, die dann aber auch qualitativ hochwertig und der Serie gerecht werden.

Das es hingefuscht ist, glaube ich nicht aber viel neues wird da bestimmt nicht dabei sein.
Für jeden "normalen" Zuschauer ist das bestimmt informativ aber für die " hardcore Fans" wohl eher ein Sammlerstück was irgendwo verstauben kann.

Find ich sehr schade, doch aufgrund der Begründung scheint es wohl besser zu sein!
Habe gestern Amazon.de darauf hingewiesen, dass die Encyclopedia auf unbestimmte Zeit verschoben worden ist, habe sogar diverse Links (amazon.com, sl-lost.com, darkufo) mitgeschickt als Beweis!
Heute kommt ne Mail zurück, dass meine Angaben unzulänglich wären.

Einen Sauhaufen würde ich Amazon nicht nennen, die sind sozusagen die Oase in der Servicewüste Deutschland. :)
Hat eigentlich schon jemand von euch eine Versandbestätigung o.ä. erhalten? Ich habe bei Amazon bestellt und bei meinen Bestellungen steht momentan der 20.10. als vorraussichtliches Versanddatum, auf der Produktseite steht aber "Versandfertig in 2 bis 4 Wochen"... Erscheinungsdatum ist ja heute.
Also ich habe meine Lost-Enzyklopädie gestern bekommen. Ist wirklich super schön geworden. Ist so ziemlich alles abgedeckt und alles mit schönen Bildern untermalt. Da vermisst man Lost gleich wieder mehr...
Und meine wurd heute immernoch nicht versandt. Werde wenn sich morgen nichts tut einfach mal in der Mayerschen gucken.
Komisch, hab heute ne Mail erhalten, dass es nicht lieferbar ist. Wat denn nu?
Tja, sieht wohl so aus als wenn man die Enzyklopädie bei uns erst im November bekommt. Hab heute im Buchladen angerufen laut denen kommts auch erst im November raus...

Ich hab sie heute bekommen und eindeutig nicht genug recherchiert. Ich hab mit einem DinA5 Taschenbuch gerechnet und nicht so einem A3-formätigem Schinken, mit dem man anderen Leuten mühelos den Schädel einschlagen kann. Das passt in keines meiner Regale. :o
Dito ich such immernoch einen Platz. Hab mich schon gewundert, dass der Karton so groß war^^
Gebundene Ausgabe stand ja dabei. Bei so einem großen Buch finde ich den Preis aber klasse und das Buch an sich sieht auch einfach super toll aus und ich freu mich schon mal ein bisschen drin rumzustöbern!

Moin Moin!
Eigentlich hatte ich ja im Großen und Ganzen mit LOST abgeschlossen. Nun hat aber die Enzyklopedie wieder mein Interesse geweckt. Denn trotzt anderes lautender Aussagen, gibt es in diesem Schmöker offenbar doch die ein oder andere neue Information zu unser aller Lieblingsserie.
Ich selbst habe das Buch noch nicht. Ich liste daher einige Zitate aus einem anderen Forum. Ob diese Informationen so stimmen, kann ich also leider nicht sagen. Besitzer des Buches können gerne widersprechen oder bestätigen.
Ist ne Menge Zeug, manches schon bekannt/vermutet, aber auch einige neue Erkenntnisse.

And the BIG ONE, at least for me is that the book indicates that the smoke monster, was, at least to some degree, a separate entity, presumably the "malevolence" JAcob referred to in 6.09 and that it "fused" with the man in black so the monster was a combination of the two, and this evidently contributed to mib's evilness.
One other thing I forgot to mention is it reveals Desmond was born with his resistance to electromagnetism. This may not be a revelation for some people, but I always assumed he acquired that ability by blowing up the hatch. Turns out he was the only one who could have. Definitely an interesting addition to the whole concept of destiny on the show.
It's implied that Annie left the island on the sub at the end of season 5
Dogen was blessed by Jacob with the ability to keep Mib out of the temple, which is why the monster was able to attack after Sayid killed him.
-Widmore killed the remaining Ajira Passengers.
-Widmore Ordered the Purge
-The Purge was in 1987
-States Chang died in the Purge
-The ash around Jacob's Cabin was to keep the MIB OUT.
-The QUARANTINE signs were made because of the toxic gas from the purge.
-The ash was broken before Ben and Locke's first visit to Jacob's Cabin.
-The Others welcomed Cindy into their society and the Others reunited her with the kids explained their purpose to her and she sided with them.
-It was the MIB who manifested himself into the drug dealers and the alter boy from Eko's past.

-When the bomb exploded at the incident, time "course corrected" and shifted the Losties "who should never have been in 1977" to 2007 . Interesting because of the WHH rule.
-Libby was in the mental hospital because of her husband's death.
-MIB could take two forms at once before Jacob's death.
-Harper's remark about Juliet "looks just like her" referred to Annie.
-The sickness enters the wounds. The reason people think the sickness is related to death is because Sayid was brought back to life because of the sickness, which is the case, but not always.
-When Sayid left Desmond in the well and joined his friends in the submarine, his soul emerged once again
-Entering the source was "unpredictable". Which explains why some people died, skeletons found outside the source, how Jack survived, and how MIB become a smoke monster.
-The hospital christian, and kate's horse were visions by the characters

"Radzinsky and Kelvin Joe Inman were the last to man the Swan station. Those who stayed inside the Swan station were safe from the poisonous gas the Others unleashed from the Tempest station to wipe out DHARMA. When Radzinsky went insane, he committed suicide inside the Swan. Inman was left on his own, until Desmond Hume washed up on the island's shore and was coerced to help."

"Kelvin Joe Inman and Desmond Hume took injections while working inside the Swan and Inman also donned a HAZMAT suit as a safeguard when he ventured outside. Inman was aware of the Purge, the time when a gaseous chemical agent was released from the Tempest station to kill off DHARMA. Both the suit and the injections were considered necessary in case some kind of residual toxin remained from the Purge. Over time, Inman grew more cynical about the necessity of the precautions."

"The Man in Black's plan to use Locke saw him study the man of faith carefully. When Locke first witnessed the smoke monster, he called it the eye of the island. He thought its flashes to pull information from Locke's memories were beautiful. When the smoke monster dragged Locke into one of the island's catacombs, he had complete faith he wouldn't die."
-The Plug in the source cave has egyptian hieroglyphs all over the top half of it and it's implied that Jacob took certain people down into the cave so they could build the structure seen in The End.
-Another entry mentions how the civilizations who lived on the island never had a large enough group to have a lasting impression on its history
-The cabin was built by Horace as a retreat for him and his wife. After The Purge, Jacob started to use it as a place to meet with Richard. Jacob apparently didn't stay there very long though, because he stopped using the cabin at some unspecified point in time, although we do know that Jacob had stopped using it before the Losties arrived to the island (the ash was apparently broken the first time we saw the cabin, Ben and Locke just failed to notice it).
-Walt: "The book talks about how there are just some people who are more "in tune" with The Island than others are. Walt and MiB are the two best examples or people who are more attune to The Island than most. I guess this is the explanation for why MiB just "knew" that giant donkey wheel would work, and why Walt acted so strangely on the Island (knowing about Ethan, warning Locke not to open the hatch, appearing to Locke in season 3, etc)".
The Temple was built in order to protect the islands last healing spring. These healing springs stem from natural tunnels that expand from Heart of the Island, but were also expanded on by explorers. This also explains the skeleton's that Jack saw down in the source. Like the MiB, the Egyptians found out that you can get to the Heart of the Island from underground. I guess they decided to put a few inscriptions on the "cork" while they were down there. These inscriptions read:
"Embrace that which the Balance hath weighed, let a path be made for the Osiris in the Great Valley, and let the Osiris have light to guide him on his way. He hath reconciled the Two Fighters (Horus and Set), the guardians of life. Break the immovable yoke that we may sleep. That silence may reign and we may sleep."
-Claire: . One interesting thing that I will say is that this book says that she wasn't "infected" in the same way that Sayid was. In fact, she wasn't infected at all (Dogen was full of crap). She was just lonely and being manipulated by MiB.
-The Smoke Monster, this parts really intresting "Beyond its intoxicating vistas and wild jungles, the island had a purpose far greater than its unparalled beauty: keeping the sum of the world's evils safely imprisoned. The island acted like a cork, preventing darkness from spilling out and covering the world, yet the island was the central source of benevolence. This intangible goodness exists as ethereal light hidden deep inside the heart of the island. The role of the island protector was to prevent mankind from exploiting the power of the island. When the smoke monster emerged from the heart of the island, the protector's role became more complicated. The smoke monster indicated a shred of evil had leaked through and it's singular purpose was to extinguish the light, destroy the island, and unleash its darkness across the world."
Now, if a person other than the protector goes down into the source, they die. Just a normal, zappy death. Nothing special about it. But the MiB was a different story. As we all know, the only reason why the MiB wound up down in the Source was because Jacob attempted to kill him. MiB did not simply die down there because, if he did, it would have broken Mother's rules. Instead, something very strange happened. The MiB's soul fused with a part of the "evil" being contained within the island.
This is a pretty cool revelation. It turns out that the smoke monster wasn't ONLY MiB's soul, but a fusion of his soul and the island's malevolence/darkness/etc. Since they were a fusion, the smoke monster was still bound by MiB's rules, which is why it couldn't just leave the island in a simple manner.
-Locke: It says that the MiB decided that Locke would be the best one to manipulate after he attempted to drag him down into that hole in season 1. He saw Locke's faith as something easy to manipulate. What a dick.
Locke did have a stronger connection than most people did though, as indicated by his insta-cured legs. But he wasn't quite as attune with the island as MiB and Walt were, despite what he believed.
-Ben and Widmore's Rules: There was absolutely nothing magic or mystic them. They were simply "gentlemanly" rules
-Danny Picket claiming that Jack wasn't on Jacob's list was "just one of the many things he was wrong about."
-I may have mentioned this already but it says Radzinsky was the one who wrote the quaranteen stuff on the arrow/Swan. Cause of Paranoia.
-Mother was NOT a smoke monster. She snuck into their village at night, murdered them in their sleep, then set the houses on fire and caved in the well
Ben had apparently summoned the smoke monster before. "While Ben had used his access to summon the smoke monster as a show of power, in reality it was not something he took lightly or used very often."
The brand used on Juliet was a fleur-de-lis (don't think anyone guessed that one correctly). The French monarchy used it as a brand for traitors.
All the earth's pockets of energy connect back to the source, the island. And the island then quite literally acts as a cork keeping malevolence sealed up from the world. I was surprised at that. I thought it was a metaphor.
Wie gesagt, was davon so im Buch steht kann ich nicht sagen. Aber die Postings machen einen soliden Eindruck.
Ob die Informationen im Buch so auch stimmen, ist eine weitere Frage. Angeblich haben die Autoren eng mit Leuten wie Gregg Nations, Lindelof und Cuse zusammengearbeitet. Also wenn das von den Produzenten so abgesegnet werden würde, dann sind da schon noch ein paar coole Sachen dabei. Evtl äußern sie sich ja in nächster Zeit noch dazu.
Besonders das mit MiB und Smokey find ich interessant. Und die leidige Frage, ob Mother auch ein Smokey war, ist dann wohl vom Tisch. :)
Wenn das alles bestätigt wird, würde ich den Post von Losticious und die Diskussion dazu, in den "Welche Fragen sind noch offen" Thread kopieren, damit hier nicht alles aus dem Ruder läuft.
Also dass man ein paar "neue" Infos und Bestätigungen bekommen wird habe ich schon mehrfach gelesen. Werde in nächster Zeit auch mal mehr drin lesen. Vor allem die Sachen über MiB hören sich schon seeehr gut an!

So habe sie mir jetzt auch mal bestellt, klingt einfach zu verlockend, was ihr da erzählt, außerdem liebe ich solche Enzyklopädien zu solchen Dingen.
